The focus of this practice group lies on two main areas:
(i) bond issuances and other borrowing transactions of our organizations and
(ii) the management of liquid assets that are not immediately needed for the core operations of the organization.
Included are activities that are closely related to these two areas, such as derivatives and other hedging transactions, cash and custody accounts, repos, external asset management, etc.
In many international organizations the lawyers working in these areas are referred to as “Treasury Lawyers” or “Finance Lawyers”, but many elements of the realm of this practice group are relevant to all intergovernmental organizations.
